Drama includes improvisation, script work, TV technique and stage work.
Improvisation builds confidence and stimulates the imagination, encouraging communication and working together as a team, giving a sense of performance.
Script work has set moves and characters to build upon and a script, giving a wider knowledge and understanding of plays and writers.
TV technique involves learning about the level of performance needed for a camera and how the TV studio works in comparison to the theatre.
Stage work gives pupils a full understanding of the workings of a theatre both on and back stage, including technical instruction.
